BOG – Potato Day

24th Annual Potato Day and Green Fair 

Sunday 3rd March  11 am – 3 pm 

The biggest potato garden event in the UK! 

100 varieties of seed potato tubers including old favourites,  heritage and blight resistant varieties, plus a selection of Scottish grown organic varieties and some new blues and reds to try.   Tubers 20p each.

Indoor market – We are thrilled to have a baker again at the BOG Potato Day and Green Fair.  Andrew Smith from Bread and Roses in Alnwick will be selling his wonderful fresh sourdough and naturally leavened loaves.  There are another 24 confirmed stall holders including local producers of meat, charcuterie, beers, juices, cheeses, cakes; plus garden plants, arts and craft workers, children’s table and a full cafe service.

Nationally renowned potato experts and enthusiasts Alan Romans and John Marshall, will be there to give advice along with BOG members.  There is not much that these two do not know about potatoes and how to grow them

Adult entrance is £1.50 (under 16s free) which includes a guide to the varieties and articles on choice and cultivation.  There is free marshalled parking.
